Rani will marry, but no taker
It is true, in our social system nobody wants to marry a widowed woman. But it surprises us when Bollywood actors deny marrying widowed woman even on screen. Rani Mukherji playing the widowed woman. But there is no taker. Does it sound strange? Let's clarify. Ravi Chopra's soon-to-begin 'Babul' faces a casting hurdle after all leading hunks refused to play the role. 'Baghban' pair Amitabh Bachchan-Hema Malini will be seen as parents of son Salman Khan. Rani Mukherji will play Salman's wife. Salman will die in the film. And Big B will go all out to rehabilitate his widowed daughter-in-law, played by Rani. Who's to play the guy whom Rani Mukherji will remarry? It has to be someone of stature, worthy of being recommended by father-in-law Bachchan as replacement in bahu Rani's life. Abhishek Bachchan was considered, but that didn't work out. His date diary in 2005 is jam-packed. Several other topnotch actors including Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar have been approached, but they've said no. Obviously with such a cast the last male lead would feel threatened with a space problems. Now director Ravi Chopra has decided to approach Bobby Deol. We think Bobby Deol has no such complex.
